Free Nesting Software for Rings and Disks

Ring2D is free software to pack (nest) disks and rings. Ring2D reduces scrap generated by different types of cutting processes: Laser Cutting, Oxy-fuel Cutting or Flame Cutting, Waterjet Cutting, Plasma Cutting.

Nesting Engine

  • Packing disks and rings.
  • Packing in rectangular sheet and circular sheet.
  • Packing rings in other rings (ring-in-ring)
  • Advanced packing algorithms for excellent results.

Optimizations

  • Given a set of ring/disk parts and circular sheet, finds the smallest sheet radius.
  • Given a set of ring/disk parts and rectangular sheet, finds the smallest width of the sheet.

Ring2D for Windows 10 Command Prompt (CMD) Free Download

Unpack the compressed directory. Open the Windows Command Prompt (CMD) and run following command:

Ring2d.exe Docs\config03.toml Docs\circles.csv

Ring2D for Linux Free Download

Unpack the zip archive with the following command:

unzip ring2d-linux.zip

This will create new directory with ring2d executable, configuration files and documentation.
